Summary/Abstract: The article reveals the great political personality and the controversies regarding Alexandru Marghiloman, Conservative Romanian Leader at the begininng of the XX-th Century in Romania. Deputy, Senator, Ministry, Prime Minister, during 38 years of a 41 years of a political career, Alexandru Marghiloman was the artisan of the Union of Romania with Bessarabia in March 1918.His collaborationist attitude towards Germany and Central Powers in 1916-1918 will affect his popularity and his political future. He died a century ago on May 10 1925, at Buzău.
