Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the reconstruction of the most likely touristic itinerary taken by the famous Chinese confucianist thinker Kang Youwei, based on his memoirs “Collection of travel impressions of Kang Youwei “Travel to Italy” (1904)”. Recollections of Kang Youwei are confronted with Vesuvian topographical reality. The author identifies specific buildings and structures that attracted the attention of Kang Youwei. This is the first reconstruction of the route of the famous Chinese philosopher of the early 20th century. The article is accompanied by an interactive map with pinpoints and comments, freely accessible on the Internet.
