Summary/Abstract: The study presents an inscription discovered in the 1970s and published shortly in the literature (IDR III/5, 102), dedicated to the Palmyrene sun god of Yarhibol. The altar was rediscovered by the authors in a private garden in Alba Iulia. The current state of the monument needs a revision of the inscription and a detailed contextualisation of the cult of Yarhibol in Apulum and Dacia, as well as the role of private collections in public archaeology.
