Summary/Abstract: This article provides a comparative analysis of the creation and functioning of an artistic image in the direction of the opening of the All-Russian Spartakiad 1991 in Moscow, and the All-Russian Spartakiad 2024 in Chelyabinsk. It is indicated how, with the advent of new media technologies, the possibilities of influencing the artistic image on the viewer's perception are expanding. New expressive possibilities of multimedia technologies in festive directing practice are described.
