Meetings of the National Security Council in the Political Practice of the President of the Republic of Poland

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article was to analyze the use by individual Presidents of the Republic of Poland of the power to convene meetings of the National Security Council. The study pays attention to the political situations that accompanied the meetings of this body, and the starting point for these considerations was the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland of April 2, 1997.In this regard, the focus was on the presidency of Aleksander Kwaśniewski, Lech Kaczyński, Bronisław Komorowski and Andrzej Duda.
