Summary/Abstract: The integration of technology into education is not a new phenomenon; it has evolved over decades, reflecting advancements in both technological capabilities and pedagogical understanding. The aim of this paper is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the role of technology in education, examine the theoretical foundations guiding the integration of digital tools, analyze their benefits and challenges, and highlight practical applications through case studies. Finally, the paper discusses future trends and their potential to reshape education in the coming decades. Theoretical foundations discussed include constructivist theory, cognitive load theory, and the SAMR model of technology integration. The key advantages of using technology in education, such as individualized and personalized learning, increased student engagement, and enhanced opportunities for inclusion, are analyzed. Major challenges, such as unequal access to technology and insufficient teacher training for effective technology use in the classroom, are also explored. The paper explains commonly used educational software as well as emerging trends, with a particular focus on the use of artificial intelligence and gamification in teaching. In conclusion, recommendations are provided for teachers and policymakers to enhance the use of technology in education.
