Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is primarily to demonstrate that the conceptof “DJ” used in Bourriaud's writings should be considered as a historical cate-gory. This allows us to define its scope of meaning as broadly as possible and, consequently, to set the context that proves to be as important for the conceptof post-productionist art itself as the thought of Michel de Certeau. Because theproducts of the visual arts can be described in terms of categories derived fromthe auditory domain.
