Summary/Abstract: Development of Smart Key Prototype Management System for educational institution security and automatic access control system for the Smart Key is presented in this paper. In this system, implementing RFID technology, NodeMCU microcontrollers, and solenoid locks will authorize access to a room of authorized users, while only persons possessing the correct credentials may enter. The whole hardware and software parts constitute the system. RFID readers check users, and data processing is performed at NodeMCU to transfer them to the backend server; checking all user credentials, and unlocking with its access solenoid lock, it logs every activity in their database for security and monitoring purposes. It would also manage the user profile and other access schedules through a web admin portal, simplifying activity tracking and exercising controls. Then the project would use Rapid Application Development methodology, which provides fast prototyping with continuous feedback and iterative testing. That is how this system turns out to be scalable, reliable, and adaptable for usage with various institutional needs thus giving a secure and efficient alternative to traditional access control methods.
