Summary/Abstract: The present study aims at analyzing the importance of human and nature connection in Rudolfo Anaya’s novel entitled ”Bless me, Ultima” highlighting multifarious aspects that place Ultima, the main female character, and nature in connection to one another in the Chicano realm. The focus is laid upon Ultima and her gift, that of healing by using herbs, roots and medicines provided by nature and picked up by her. The study also presents Ultima’s connection to her owl turning her into the embodiment of nature’s spirit.
