Summary/Abstract: In this paper, I propose examining Borges a contraluz (1989) by Estela Canto through the lens of biographical writings, positioning it as a specifi c form of life writings. I explorethe relevance and uniqueness of the relationship between biographer and biographee and how it manifests in the textual fabric of the work. This study tests the hypothesis that the connectionbetween the lives portrayed is articulated in writing by transforming the biographical subject not merely into a theme, but into an active participant in the written dialogue. Rather than solelytalking about the biographical subject, the biographer should primarily talk with them.
