Summary/Abstract: The article presents selected results of research on the quality of studentinternships concerning three professions of electronics technician, mechatronics technician,automation technician) carried out in seven enterprises of the Radom region as part of theproject POWR.02.15.00-00-2004/20, entitled “Development of student internship programsimplemented in an innovative work environment in the electronics and mechatronics industry”,the contractor of which was the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute for SustainableTechnologies in Radom. The aim of the survey was to assess the quality of implementationof model student internship programs from the perspective of students (trainees), employers(providing internship places) and vocational school (referring students to internships). In theopinion of the respondents, student internships in the Polish vocational education system arean effective tool combining education with professional practice. Thanks to them, studentshave the opportunity to gain valuable skills and experience that increase their competitivenesson the labour market, and employers can actively participate in the process of educating futureemployees, adapting their competences to the real needs of the economy.
