Summary/Abstract: The article reviews the empirical literature of recent years on the relationship between demographic variables and their impact on economic growth and GDP in individual countries and regions around the world. The need for forecasting and calibrating demographic variables in the context of endogenous economic factors is highlighted, with special attention paid to the importance of both public and private investments in the economy and human capital.
