Summary/Abstract: In the presented study, the author undertook a reflection on the phenomenon of obediencein the canonical legal order. Studying the regulations of the 1983 Code of Canon Law, he pointed outthat this phenomenon has a multidimensional character. As a result of his analyses, he distinguishedthree forms of obedience: obedience of faith, religious obedience and obedience to canon law. Inthis context, he considered the problem of disobedience, denying such an attitude in the case ofinfallible doctrine; however, he did not exclude it in the case of further forms of obedience, namelyreligious obedience and obedience to canon law. In the first case, in his view, it could be generatedby an erroneous teaching; in the second hypothesis by an improperly enacted law (an unintelligent orunjust law) and also by the inadequacy of the norm to the circumstances.
