Summary/Abstract: The goal of this research is to look into how well current green shipping methods work to lower carbon emissions in the maritime industry. It will focus on how different regulations and technology improvements affect shipping companies' use of sustainable practices. To address this issue, both qualitative and quantitative data will be needed, such as emissions data, examples of company practices, and opinions from industry professionals. This dissertation looks at how well current green shipping methods cut down carbon emissions in the maritime industry. It highlights how different regulations and tech improvements affect shipping companies' use of sustainable practices. Using both qualitative and quantitative methods, the research combines data like emissions numbers, case studies of company practices, and expert opinions. It shows that while some shipping companies have made good progress in using green technologies, there are still big gaps mainly due to regulatory incentives and money issues. The main findings suggest that companies in strict regulatory environments tend to adopt eco-friendly practices more often, which helps lower emissions. These results are important not just for shipping but also for healthcare, as less carbon emissions lead to better air quality and health outcomes. By clarifying how shipping practices impact public health, this study points out the need for policies that support sustainability in maritime work while also focusing on health benefits. Overall, it suggests that improving regulations and encouraging new green technologies could change the maritime industry for the better, leading to a more sustainable future and enhancing global health and well-being.
