Summary/Abstract: In explaining the foundations of Islamic civilization, we can mention the two constituent elements of this civilization, “hijra” and “jihad”, to which Islamic Gnostics very often referred, defined, explained and indicated how to use them. The rise of the Islamic religion with the hijra of the Prophet Muhammad and the choice of this event as the historical beginning of Muslims, indicates the importance of this topic. In Islamic gnosis, hijra and jihad have stages, and the first stage of hijra is realized on the level of ego, i. e. hijra in the meaning of moving away from the “material and non-divine self” and moral vices. This corresponded to the great struggle (jihad) and confrontation with egoistic desires, which is only possible in this way. From this point of view, the spiritual emigrant through self-observation, from one moment to another – which is a stage of constant struggle – initially achieves the knowledge of himself and, through the conception of “divine self” and “divine breath”, knows spirituality and its necessity; a spirituality whose emptiness has turned human society into a serious crisis of global proportions. Here, in addition to the flourishing of his spiritual dimension, he will be the builder of human society and of an "exemplary life”.
