Summary/Abstract: The debate on the place of the Prosecutor General in the Bulgarian constitutional system has caused many discussions and motivated the adoption of several projects of judicial reforms. This invites the author to reflect on the reduction of the powers of the Bulgarian Prosecutor General and the establishment of certain control mechanisms. In order to respond to the demands for independence, criminal responsibility and methods of dismissal of the Prosecutor General, the author first considers a seemingly ideal but unrealistic control and proposes to analyze the unconstitutional nature of certain other types of control.
