Summary/Abstract: The bilingual Slavo-Romanian Tetraevangelion (Tetraevanghelul slavo-român de la Sibiu) was published in 1551–1553 at Sibiu. According to Lajos Demény, the Tetraevangelion of Sibiu was translated in Moldavia, while according to Ion Gheţie and Alexandru Mareş, it was translated in Southern Transylvania. More recently, Ioan-Florin Florescu has argued that two other Czech Bibles (Biblia Drážďanská, 1370; Biblia Olomoucká, 1417) were used by the translators to translate the Tetraevangelion of Sibiu.
