Summary/Abstract: In an information-overloaded and constantly changing society, such as the 21st century, the fundamental principle of the school of the future is no longer the storage of information and knowledge but the development of the ability to work with it and the level of resilience among students. Resilience is defined as the ability of people to cope positively and productively with daily challenges, traumas, disappointments and everyday stress by adapting and constantly pursuing the goal. A key role in increasing school resilience is played by the primary school teacher, who, through the amount of time spent with their pupils, helps create an interdependent teacher-student relationship. This relationship is characterised by informational-cognitive, interpersonal, behavioural, instrumental and emotional dimensions. Throughout the entire instructional-educational process, the teacher becomes a role model for his/her pupils, inspiring, motivating, encouraging and valuing their ideas and responses, increasing their engagement in the learning process. These dimensions of the teacher-student relationship lead to increased levels of school resilience among pupils, leading to increased academic performance, motivation for learning, self-confidence, school aspirations, pupils' emotional and social health, reduced absenteeism, bullying and cyberbullying in school. According to the research carried out, otherwise, by developing an inappropriate teacher-student relationship based on fear can contribute to a decrease in motivation for learning and school performance and ultimately to the induction of a failure mentality, which will influence their entire behaviour concerning the educational process and, later, their socio-professional integration.
