Summary/Abstract: From 17–21 June 2024, researchers of folk narratives from all over the world gathered in Riga, Latvia, for the 19th Congress of the International Society for Folk Narrative Research (ISFNR). The Congress was hosted by the Archives of Latvian Folklore at the Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art at the University of Latvia, a renowned centre for the study of folkloristics in the region. The congregation of established scholars, early career researchers, and young professionals at the Congress created a collaborative forum for discussion and exchange of ideas over the next five days. The opening ceremony took place at the iconic building of the National Library of Latvia, resembling a folkloric glass mountain, and the opening dinner was hosted at the National Railway Museum of Latvia, where the conference was kickstarted with folk music, traditional dance, and a happy opportunity for networking and fostering academic collaboration. All the academic activities of the Congress were held at the House of Nature at the University of Latvia Academic Centre over the next few days.
