Summary/Abstract: On March 29, 2023, Linda Ellis passed away, leaving behind the memory of a highly honest and distinguished researcher. An eminent archaeologist with vocation and dedication, Linda Ellis remains in the memory of many colleagues in Romania for her desire to understand both ancient historical phenomena and the mechanisms of the societies that once existed in the Carpathian-Pontic region. Her merit, in the eyes of those knowledgeable in the field, lies in having introduced American academic circles to the ideas, opinions, and assessments of Romanian specialists—almost unknown internationally—whom she regarded as true role models.
