Summary/Abstract: Criminal proceedings exist in all countries, but a universal standard for the criminal process, as well as for the conduct of criminal proceedings against military personnel, does not exist and has never existed. The study and comparison of the variety of criminal procedural systems allows them to be classified into four types: Anglo-Saxon, Romanesque, Germanic and Russian. These four models have a different approach to the creation of special proceedings and special wartime procedural rules for considering cases for crimes committed by military personnel.
