Summary/Abstract: This research aims to delve into the soul of Strindberg’s essential characters by analyzing their lines from the plays in which they appear, in order to understand their psychology. The 27 texts subjected to analysis highlight the depths of these characters and the way in which they live their own drama, rendering a geography of their intellect, their way of judging and reacting in the situations they experience. The book also pays homage to the eminent professor Ileana Berlogea, author of the study August Strindberg - A Solitary Precursor of Contemporary Theatre, published posthumously in 2011 by the Romanian Academy Publishing House.
