Summary/Abstract: In 2014, Lavinia-Ileana Geambei published a dense, well-argued, and brilliantly structured volume of studies on six Romanian poets of the interwar period with Universitaria, Craiova. This is not a literary history book, although it includes elements related to this field, but rather, in our view, a journey marked by the two characteristics that the author identifies, analyzes, and highlights in the studied poets: tradition and modernity. As for the corpus, it includes the essential figures Ion Pillat, Vasile Voiculescu, and Tudor Arghezi, along with the perhaps lesser-known poets for non-specialists, Barbu Fundoianu (Benjamin Fondane) and Adrian Maniu.
