Summary/Abstract: The second edition of the Figurafest Showcase celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Figura Stúdió Theatre in Gheorgheni, held between 10–13 October, closed with the staging of Ferenc Molnár’s Liliom directed by István Albu. Lilla Aliz Stan’s review focuses on the themes of physical and psychological abuse, while exploring the idea how the title character of Ferenc Molnár’s perhaps best-known play can become our contemporary in a performance experimenting with making him into the front man of a rock band, into whose soul we can peep through the songs borrowed from the band Tankcsapda, which form an integral part of the performance.
