Summary/Abstract: To ensure the evaluation of higher education quality, it is necessary to analyze a wide range of factors that directly or indirectly affect teaching efficiency, the productivity of educators and researchers, as well as the international connections of the university. The study explores the fundamental principles of forming the informational environment of universities. The research hypothesis posits that the method for calculating the generalized volume of the (h-1)-simplex can be used for effectively assessing the quality of higher education in universities. For the validation of the proposed method, the activities of higher education institutions in the Republic of Kazakhstan were analyzed. The study examined the principles of forming their informational educational environments and developed a university ranking using the proposed method based on data from the national system of institutional evaluation (IQAA). A comparative analysis was conducted between the developed rankings and the global QS university rankings.
