Summary/Abstract: The paper provides an overview of the history of the existence of the organ in the parish church in Štefanje since the mid-18th century, as well as of the acquisition process of the current one, which Ferdinand Heferer built as his op. 220, and installed in 1913. The importance of an interdisciplinary approach in tackling this topic is extremely important, given that practice has shown the published sources often contradict the state established during organological research. By synthesizing the results of the processing of available archival material and field research, the paper emphasises the construction process of the present organ in Štefanje, and the presentation of its technical and artistic features. The established information, published here for the first time, do not only serve for accompanying the historical review of the existence of the organ in the parish church in Štefanje and the construction of the present one, but have also enabled its valorisation within the organ fund of the Čazma Deanery and the Bjelovar-Bilogora County.
