Summary/Abstract: In the current context of the European Union, the global economy is undergoing a profound transformation, marked by rapid advances in technology, digitalization, and innovation. In the face of these changes, EU Member States need to adapt to the new economic realities to remain competitive in the global market. The European Union's strategy for digital transformation and innovation aims not only to create a more competitive economy, but also to promote sustainable and equitable development, reduce disparities between Member States, and improve the lives of European citizens. This study examines the impact of digital transformation and innovation on economic performance across EU Member States, using an econometric approach to assess the relationships between key variables such as technological innovation, digitization, human capital, and digital infrastructure. The results of the study suggest that technological innovation and human capital dedicated to R&D have a significant positive impact on economic performance, while digitization and internet use contribute to GDP growth, but this impact is conditional on equitable access to technology and digital skills training. These results help shape public policy at the European level on the impact of digitalization and innovation on economic performance. Translated with DeepL.com (free version).
