Summary/Abstract: The paper examines the integration of information technology (IT) into modern business models with a focus on companies in Romania. The main objective of the study is to identify how the adoption of I.T. technology influences the performance and competitiveness of firms. The paper begins with a review of the specialized literature, highlighting technological evolution and its impact on the global and national economy. The research methodology involves analyzing a representative sample of companies in Romania, using statistical data collected through surveys and interviews. The expected results include identifying major trends in the adoption of IT technology and its impact on operational efficiency and business innovation. The study concludes that the strategic integration of IT is essential for long-term competitiveness in the digital economy, offering insights for business leaders and policymakers.
