Summary/Abstract: It has recently been 135 years since the establishment of the diocesan press in Caransebeș (1886-2021), which led us to analyse from several perspectives, the way in which it served the community. Without too much effort, we can see that the Romanian diocesan press from Caransebeș remained faithful to the service of the successive ideals of the people of Banat and beyond. It is enough to refer to the diocesan publication Foaia Diecezană (The Diocesan Sheet), to certify the service of the diocesan press. However, the service of these ideals was done through works of overwhelming importance, for past times, quite challenging. Looking in the mirror of the times, the reflection is bright, but the present brings us new challenges, often difficult to manage and understand, so that, through print, we can assess our future prospects, meditating on its relevance in postmodern society.
