Summary/Abstract: Restorative justice is a procedure that seeks to heal the harm caused by crime or conflict by including the parties involved in determining a resolution that fulfills their needs while also addressing the underlying causes of the harm. It contends that restorative justice is consistent with human rights concepts by recognizing every person’s intrinsic dignity and worth, as well as the right to justice and equality. There’s also a possibility of restorative justice to address human rights breaches in various circumstances, including conflict and post-conflict settings, as well as gender-based violence. Last but not least it is important to emphasize the need for a more comprehensive and integrated approach to conflict resolution that prioritizes human rights and ensures that all stakeholders participate meaningfully.
