Summary/Abstract: The technologies are part of our present and with their constant development will continue to be a part of our lives and in the future. The Opera theatre, even dough has kept its basic character for the past 400 years; more often incorporates new technologies in its stagings. 296 By this way it manages to stay up to date and to attract new audiences. One example is the staging of The Polish National Opera – Goplana, by the polish composer Wladyslaw Zelenski, which received an award for a rediscovered piece on the International Opera Awards for 2017. Attention is brought to the substantional and complex work of Janusz Wiszniewski, who took on not only the directing but the scenography and the costume design. The scenography is modern and up-to-date, filled with many additional signs and messages, with every detail well thought through and correlated with the others. The different technologies like video design, robotized mannequins, remote controlled boat an etc. contribute the staging to be contemporary in a way that states and proves that the art of the opera is universal and comprehensive for all who’ve decided to explore it more closely. The Polish National Opera’s Goplana is made available also by the streaming technologies. The appliance of the capabilities of the modern technologies comes in naturally with their development since they are part of our daily life and their constant development proves it.
