Summary/Abstract: THE SENSES! It is the key word that we shall dedicate the following musings to. How come the senses that have been given to us by nature take part in the process of our encounter with art, or at least, with that part of it that is rationally appreciated. Actually, the fact that the focus lies on the rational part of the process denigrates the role that intuition and the subconsciousness play in it. If we consider the senses as the main conduits of the information flow coming from our surroundings, through which the signals are acknowledged and analysed by our brains, which in its part produces billions of signals and impulses to the body, thus making us responsive to it, then it is precisely these musings that trigger the logical questions. If we do not see any movement in the dance, or colours in the pictures, nor hear the tune in perfect harmony, if our receptors for cold and hot, sour and sweet do not work, if we cannot inhale the scent, our path to art will not only be hard, but next to impossible, as well.
