Summary/Abstract: The research study titled “Albanian Media in Kosovo and the Use of the Internet in Public Information on the COVID-19 Pandemic” examines the ways in which citizens of the Republic of Kosovo were informed about the COVID-19 pandemic. The primary aim of this study was to identify the sources of information utilized by the citizens of Kosovo and assess their perceived reliability. The objectives include providing a comprehensive overview of internet usage, social media engagement, and the use of social networks among citizens of Kosovo. Utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, the findings indicate that the primary channels of information were social media platforms, though television and radio continued to be regarded as the most reliable media sources. The results are quantifiable and readily accessible. Nevertheless, the study acknowledges certain limitations. First, the sample was defined and selectively chosen, which may limit generalizability. Second, the survey does not claim absolute accuracy in its findings. Thus, considering the limited sample size, it is recommended that future researchers explore random sampling methods, incorporate the ethnic diversity of respondents, and expand this research scope to encompass the wider Western Balkans region.
