The Concept of Revelation (Wahy) from the Islamic Perspective and the Western Perspective.

Summary/Abstract: The concept of Wahy is among the fundamental topics in Islam because it encompasses the foundation of the knowledge of the Word of the Glorious Allah. In its general sense, it represents the divine message that God communicated to His chosen messengers from among humans and the form of this communication. The treatment of this topic from the perspective of Tafsir, within the framework of the integrity of the Noble Quran and its linguistic meaning, is undoubtedly of particular importance in highlighting the true meaning of Wahy. The concept of Wahy has undoubtedly drawn the attention of many Islamic scholars and others, leading to various definitions, treatments, and perspectives regarding it. From this viewpoint, this study will provide insights into the Tafsir-Quranic understanding of the concept of Wahy, including the definitions, content, methods of revelation, and the stances of Islamic scholars and Western authors concerning it.
