INFORMATION SYSTEM OF EXTERNAL TRANSPORTERS

Summary/Abstract: Contemporary world trends show that for several decades, external resources - Road Transport Companies (ATP) - have been attracting a lot of attention as a significant means of improving the business success of production companies in which transport is a secondary activity. The paper presents the information program External conveyors, which was conceived by the company Somboled from Sombor, and which is intended for all companies hired by this company as a supplement to its own vehicle fleet for transporting finished products to distribution centers (small shops, bakeries, stores, ...) this companies. The information system enables the monitoring of the operation of the fleet of external transporters, which is made possible by automatic and/or manual entry of all relevant data (name of the transporter, transport route, start and end of work, realization of transport tasks, completed kilometers, etc.). The reports of the mentioned information system enable the reduction of vehicle fleet costs, saving time and manpower, avoiding the payment of unnecessary fines, and thus increasing traffic safety.
