Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the institutional structure and the most important workshops of contemporary Hungarian philosophical thinking. That includes philosophy’s academic, higher educational and civic institutions, as well as newspaper and book publishing activity regarding philosophy. The paper’s counclusion is that contemporary Hungarian philosophical thinking is diverse, although, besides all results achieved on the fi eld of institualization, it’s position inside the broader scientifi clife is not that favourable, and it is to be feared that the situation can get worse in the future.
