Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the problem of creativity and creativeness in contemporary humanities and social sciences. In the first part it is argued that creativity and creativeness are organic to each other, also that creativity is paving the way towards creativeness. In the second part it is shown that creativity and creativeness is a major propeller of progress in science because only creative scientific thinking and creative skills generate a variety of inventions and innovations. In the third part it is maintained that in contemporary humanities and social sciences creativity and creativeness unfold as intensively and focusedly as in other fields of science (for example, in physical and technological sciences), infuencing culture and society, their development and future perspectives.
