Summary/Abstract: The texts included in the forum follow the guiding idea of indigenizing the future,but employ it in different ways by offering reflections on interspecies relationships,animism, agency, and resistance to colonial power structures. Małgorzata Poks analyzescosmopolitan implications of animal ethics based on Indigenous cosmologies, proposinga decolonial revision of human-animal relations. Paweł Chyc compares animism withnaturalism, analyzing how both ways of understanding reality approach the matterof agency and highlights the rapprochement between modern science and animisticconceptions of consciousness. Bartosz Hlebowicz reflects on the importance ofIndigenous knowledge in the context of ecological catastrophes and – referring tothe thought of Robin Wall Kimmerer – shows that traditional Indigeneous knowledgeshould be treated as a contemporary tool for rebalancing human–nature relations.Anna Paluch examines decolonial and queer activist art in Eastern Europe and NorthAmerica, highlighting its role in creating new spaces of resistance in the struggle againstcolonialism and exclusion.
