Summary/Abstract: Moldova is a Model Law jurisdiction in statute, but it still has work to do to become a fully Model Law complaint jurisdiction in practice. Still, the availability of and friendliness to arbitration ensures a legal framework favourable to international trade, and especially to international lending to the Moldovan economy. A key factor is the recognition of asymmetric dispute resolution agreements in loan agreements and in supporting security agreements.
