The Bulgarian exiles in the fortress Acress /Akia/ and British foreign policy

Summary/Abstract: Data British diplomats resident in the Bulgarian lands under Ottoman rule, which relate to exile in Akia our compatriots are an important source of information about Bulgarian history. There is an interesting trend from the Foreign Office regarding the Bulgarian national revolutionary movement. Early British diplomats are faithful to traditional negative attitude of London to liberation movements in the Ottoman Empire, but later they changed it and start looking for opportunities to support exiled in Akia Bulgarians.
