Summary/Abstract: Considering that restorative ethics proves to be effective in dealing with situations of vulnerability and inequality, paying attention to the needs of the weakest subjects, this work proposes to examine whether the restorative approach can be extended to the needs of subjects born through heterologous medically assisted procreation techniques. In particular, the question is whether or not there is a right to biological identity for these individuals, starting from the consideration that this right is fundamental to the construction of their personal identity. This aspect, as we shall see, is highlighted by the consequences on individuals born from the ‘Lebensborn’ project and the Constitutional Court's ruling no. 278 of 2013 on adoption.
