The Theology of the Wilderness – 40 Years of Wandering for a People

Summary/Abstract: Wilderness theology is a research topic little approached in the Eastern space. In the literature we find little indication of this "method" of changing identity, either national or personal. This is not due to any disinterest, but simply constitutes an effect of the reception of the wilderness as an eminently ascetic space of perfection. This study aims to bring to light a historical understanding of the concept and the effects it launched on the mentality of Israel, and then on other peoples.
