Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the relationship between school leadership styles (transformational, transactional, and laissez-faire) on the four types on organizational culture based on the Quinn Cameron model (Clan, Adhocracy, Market, and Hierarchy) in high schools with a high rate of academic achievement of their students. The mix of leadership styles used by school principals and the organizational culture profile of the schools are closely related leading to the conclusion that there is a synergy between them which is explaining the high rate of academic success. The researchers used a mixed research method, qualitative based on interviews with various important school stakeholders and a questionnaire based survey of 162 teachers from 8 high schools from the Haifa district, in Israel. Conclusions and several recommendations were made.
