Summary/Abstract: The article presents the ambo from the katholikon of the Bachkovo (Virgin Petritsiotissa / Petritsonitissa) Monastery, made probably in the early 18th century by an anonymous woodcarver, influenced by the stylistic trends of the ecclesiastical woodcarving of Epirus and Mount Athos. Subsequently, according to its dedicatory inscription, the ambo was painted in 1719 by hieromonk Symeon, thanks to the donation of the new ktetor archiereas (archpriest) Damaskinos, who is portraited on the ambo.
