Summary/Abstract: The presentation of artworks in galleries or other spaces managed by cultural institutions was almost impossible, even for those arts and institutions in the field of art that do not necessarily require live performance in front of an audience, as is required by the musical, theatrical and performing arts. Museums, galleries, cultural centers were closed to the public. At the same time, works created in the field of contemporary visual arts and new media, which often include performance in front of an audience, video art and video performance, despite their static nature that most artworks (paintings, sculptures, photographs, objects, graphics, installations, etc.) possess, became inaccessible to the public. Faced with the inability to realize their planned program in the space they manage and own, but also to achieve their primary goal - the presentation of works of art to the audience, despite their physical confinement, some artists, museums, galleries and other institutions have continued communication with the audience on social networks and the virtual space offered by the Internet and communication information platforms for audio and video connection. In addition, the institutions that promote contemporary art in our country (the Museum of Contemporary Art, the National Gallery in Skopje) have begun to present their content in ways/modes that they did not often use until 2020, and have become more widely available, not only to the audience limited by their place of residence. The exhibition aims to determine which forms of presentation and artistic programs were used during 2020, but also 2021, and whether they achieved a larger audience reach compared to physical presentation.
