Summary/Abstract: Hybrid warfare is a concept discussed by the security community and has been used to describe the rivalry between powers for the past three decades. In the form of hybrid security threats, the concept has influenced the shape of NATO and EU strategic documents. Hybrid warfare has inspired many scholarly essays, but this essay is notable for analyzing the concept of hybrid warfare in the context of Clausewitz's ideas and strategy theory. In fact, Clausewitz's book 'On War', according to experts, retains its validity for today's conflicts, which are also fought using civil wars and terrorism, by non-state actors. Clausewitz's central idea that war is the continuation of politics by other means does not apply only to the state, but includes all actors involved in war conflicts. Moreover, the concept of hybrid warfare is analysed and critiqued from the perspective of strategy theory, which assumes that all wars throughout history have shared certain common attributes. These attributes are clarified in the essay, which also presents the specifics of hybrid warfare that correspond to modern warfare in the 21st century, especially in terms of information and cyber warfare.
