THE DIFFICULT FATE OF THE TEMPLE “ST. FRIDAY OF SAMARDJI” IN SOFIA

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is not to offer a description of the only surviving (to some extent) Bulgarian medieval object in Sofia - the church “St. Petka Samardzhiiska”, but to give a (sometimes hypothetical) chronology of its unhappy fate, connected with chaotic construction changes over the years, the facts being well illustrated with photographic material.
