Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the examation of Serbian statehood and administration in Yeta of the Crnojević family. Regardless of the wars with serbian despot, awareness about, statehood and affi lation could not be suppressed in the population in Zeta. Th is is visible also from the title of Ivan Crnojević, who is a prosperous and godly protected in Christ Jesus, seigneur of Zeta. This is where a logothete Bozidar Grk knowingly stylized the first part of the title, that settled down in the time of the emperor Dušan, and the second part from the title of the Byzantine Emperors. Th e Crnojević family had, by the reputation model of the past Serbian seigneurs, their own palace with courtiers, which was managed by a court manager. There were dukes at the palace, and in the time of Ivan Crnojević there was the duke of Zeta, who replaced him in command of the army. The Crnojevići family were, by the model of the former Serbian Seigneurs, persistently worried and took care of the Orthodox Church. They were ktitors of the monasteries in Kom and the Cetinje. In Zeta, in the 15th century warlike troupes were formed, as well as municipalities, katuns, that are organized in multicast community (tribes). The tribes on their territory are organizing local administartion and central authority is present in the form of a Prince (Paštrovići, Njeguši) or kephals (kefalija) (Malonšići, Mataguži). There was also communities where the central authority didn’t have their representatives in the local administration (Hoti, Tuzi). Without the cooperation of the nobility from warlike troupes, the central authority could do little on the territory of the related community.
