Summary/Abstract: The article explores new research possibilities through the application of DNA analysis. Several examples of this new technology being used in archival (historical) and genealogical studies are described, highlighting the potential of DNA as data storage. The provided examples demonstrate that genetic analysis has the capability of either confirming or debunking previous assumptions.
