Summary/Abstract: The "A. D. Xenopol" Institute of History welcomes today, among its honorary members, the British historian Alex Drace-Francis: a man dedicated both to our past and to the social life of post-communist Romania. He knows us by heart, whether it's about our beginnings in modern culture, or just our well-known passion for corn flour. It is not by chance that I will speak about him in the third person, and in the second person singular.
